Robert S. ?Bobby? Ferreira is a lifelong resident of Fernandina Beach. A 1970 graduate of Fernandina Beach High School, he received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida in 1975. After college graduation he returned to Fernandina beach and joined his father and grandfather in the family insurance and real estate company where he has held various sales and management sales positions. With the retirement of his father in 1984, he became president of John T. Ferreira Insurance and CENTURY 21 John T. Ferreira and Son. He has been involved with many businesses, civic, non-profit and social organizations. He has been president of the Fernandina Beach Optimist Club, Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Nassau County, Amelia Island Nassau County Association of Realtors and Nassau County Multiple Listings Service. In 1994 he was campaign chair for Nassau County for the United Way of Northeast Florida. He is a past board member of the Florida Association of Realtors, Nassau County Volunteer Center, Fernandina Beach High School Foundation and McArthur Family YMCA. He is currently chair of Fernandina Beach Main Street and a member of the board of directors for Synovus Bank and Baptist Hospital Nassau. He is a recipient of the Optimist Spirit Award and Optimist of the Year, Realtor of the Year, Amelia Island Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year and Century 21 International Presidents Award for excellence in production and customer service. He has earned the National Association of Realtors, Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers, and Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager designation.
